Beginner's Disc Golf Disc Selection Guide

Disc Golf Family had a pretty good blog post on selecting discs for beginning players.

Types of Disc Golf Discs, Weights of Disc Golf Discs, Plastic Types of Disc Golf Discs, Flight Pattern of Disc Golf Discs, and Disc golf disc selection for different weather conditions and shots which I've listed here:
    Headwind: Overstable, heavier discs
    Tailwind: Stable to understable, lighter discs
    Rollers: Understable driver, heavier discs, either more durable plastic or older disc
    Dogleg left: Overstable driver for RHBH (right handed backhand) understable driver for RHFH (right handed forehand)
    Dogleg right: Understable driver for RHBH, overstable driver for RHFH
    Skip Shot (skipping the disc off the ground): Driver, hard durable plastic
    Narrow Fairway: Stable (to slightly understable), lighter weight driver

Our local Discraft Ace Race takes place Oct. 26 (Sunday) with players meeting at 9 a.m. This event will take place at Middle Park in Bettendorf,IA again. Need to pre-register by October 10, 2014.
