DX is not as expensive and, when buying an Innova beginner's set, you're getting a good start on the game with discs that are best for beginners! Not really like riding a bike with training wheels but not too far from that analogy either as once more experience is acquired, one can move on to the higher end plastics such as Champion, Gstar, Star, etc.
